Blue Valley Maltipoos

Who we are

We are Blue and Lenny Wolfe and we are Maltipoo breeders. We are a family based in rural Wales on a little smallholding where we aim to live a simple and eco-friendly life. We grow our own veg and our pooches have a 5 acre meadow to play in.

Maltipoo Puppies

Our Maltipoo puppies spend their first weeks snuggled up in our bedroom with us. Then they enjoy crucial socialisation and learning life skills on a daily basis from 4 weeks old.

All our girls are family pets first. We do not have kennels. They share our home, sofas, and beds. The pups are raised surrounded by love and family.

All our pooches are health screened and all of our puppies are fully vet checked before leaving us.

The breed

Our Mums are all Maltipoos themselves and we carefully select small toy Poodles or Maltese to be our Dads, depending on the Mother's characteristics.  We think this is the best cross as they are bred to be hypoallergenic and non-shedding with a life expectancy of 12 to 15 years.

The variations

Our pups vary in size. They're around 200g when born and they grow to between 3kg and 7kg when adult. Their coats range from wavy to curly, but all are soft and beautiful. We have a range of colours too, from the lightest champagne through caramel reds to black. We also have white patches on some!

Their personality

Our Maltipoos are loyal and friendly companion dogs who love to play and run, but also love to snuggle up and snooze. They adore human company and are incredibly intelligent little creatures. They do not like to be left on their own for long periods.

Insights from a Maltipoo breeder

Maltipoos are clever dogs and need mental as well as physical exercise. They require a minimum of half an hour walk in the morning and half an hour in the afternoon, alongside focussed play every day. They especially benefit from 'sniffy walks' where they are allowed to potter along sniffing everything as this is mentally stimulating for them.

They will require brushing a couple of times a week as the fur will get matted otherwise, and grooming every couple of months - with a shorter cut in the summer months to keep them comfortable.
