We are boutique breeders. We only have two or three litters a year as our girls are primarily our family pets and their happiness and welfare is our top priority. We pride ourselves on the attention to detail and individual care our mums receive. They are fed on home cooked food and bone broth during pregnancy and while feeding their pups to ensure they are at the absolute pinnacle of health.
We do not have kennels. Our girls sleep in our bedroom with us and raise their pups in their den beside our bed for the first 3 weeks of their lives receiving 24 hour a day care and attention.
When you reserve a BVM puppy you get to be involved with the whole wonderful process from seeing the ultrasound photos and videos during pregnancy through the birth and first few days to when the pups open their eyes, first steps, first toys, solid food, to charging around my kitchen table, everything! It's a beautiful journey and our past puppy parents say how magical it is to be there all the way through.
We have an Amazon list of suggested products to help with settling in your new arrival and we offer lifetime support, which is particularly helpful for first timers. You will always be able to get hold of us for advice and suggestions, and we will make sure the transition from living with their littermates and mums to living with you is smooth and easy. We will support you every step of the way.
Our puppies go out into the world as happy, well adjusted little creatures having experienced a huge variety of early socialisation as they learn something new every day from 4 weeks old. From traffic noises to weather, wearing harnesses to brushing, they really do get a well rounded, carefully constructed puppy experience which we have perfected over the years, and has produced confident and easygoing puppies time and time again.
We are totally open about our set-up, and as you can see, we show lots of photos and videos of our mums living their daily lives as well as where our puppies are born and how they are raised. Transparency is very important to us as so many breeders conceal these things and only show photos of older puppies in clearly staged or photoshopped photos.
We do not routinely give worm or flea medications. Our mums are all tested before mating and then after the puppies are born. We test mums and puppies at 2 weeks old and again at 5 weeks old, and then would only medicate if needed, but usually they are clear. We will provide copies of these certificates too. Our theory is definitely to avoid giving these medicines unless totally necessary as we feel they can weaken their immunity if given when not needed.
